We're physicians first. We built our platform the way we'd want our own health data protected, following Canada's federal privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and New Brunswick's Personal Health Information Privacy and Access Act (PHIPAA), because it's the right thing to do.
Your Data Stays Yours
Unlike big tech health apps, we never sell your data. Period. Your health information exists solely to help you live better, not to fuel advertising algorithms.
Kept in Canada
Your health record is kept in Canada. We chose Canadian data centres so your record is protected by Canadian law, not the laws of another country.

Before we asked patients to trust us with their data, we asked: "Would I trust this with my family's health information?" Every security decision we've made passes that test. Our founder uses this same system for his own care.
Complete Transparency
Ask us who's seen your records. We'll tell you. Every access is logged because you deserve to know exactly who touches your data. No surprises, no hidden access, no excuses.
We Never Sell Your Data
Your health journey is between you and your care team. We only send information to an insurer when the insurer asks for it and you have given your consent. We don't share data with employers or marketers. When you leave us, your record goes with you, and we keep only the copy the law requires. We never sell it or use it for marketing.
Human Accountability
When you contact us about privacy, you reach a real person, often the physician who built this system. We're not hiding behind automated responses or offshore call centers.
Your Data, Your Control
Can I see everything you have on me?
Absolutely. Your records are yours. Request a complete copy anytime and we'll have it ready within days, not weeks. No fees, no hoops to jump through.
What if something in my record is wrong?
Tell us and we'll fix it. Healthcare records aren't perfect, and we'd rather correct an error than defend it. Your accuracy matters more than our pride.
Can I limit who sees my information?
Yes. If you want certain information restricted to specific team members, just ask. We'll accommodate you wherever clinically safe to do so.
What if I want to leave?
We'll send a complete copy of your record to your new doctor or clinic, without delay. The law requires physicians to keep medical records for a set period after the last visit, so we can't delete our copy when you leave. It stays secure and private, and when that period ends we destroy it securely. You can still ask us for a copy, or a correction, at any time.
What if I have a concern?
Contact us directly. Our privacy officer is a physician, not a legal department, and we would rather resolve it with you first. If you are not satisfied, you can contact:
- about your health information: the Ombud for New Brunswick, which oversees the Personal Health Information Privacy and Access Act (ombudnb.ca, 1-877-755-2811);
- about other personal information, such as billing or website data: the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
Patient feedback and testimonials
We share a patient's words on our website or social media only with their written permission. A reply to our email is enough. We ask each time, tell you where your words will appear, and use only what you agree to: usually your first name and age, or your initials, and never health details you have not agreed to share.
You can withdraw permission at any time by emailing info@whitepinemedical.ca or calling (506) 847-7263. We remove your words from our website within 5 working days and stop using them on social media. Copies that other people have already shared may remain. We keep a record of each permission.

Thank you for the kind words you sent us. They meant a great deal to all of us.
We'd like to share a few client comments on our website. With your permission, we would show only your first name and age, with these words:
"[your words, exactly as you wrote them]"
[first name], [age]
Nothing else about you or your care would be shown. If you're happy with this, just reply "yes". If you'd rather we didn't, or would like the wording changed, reply and let us know. Either answer is completely fine.
